Jakarta, July 20 2026 – As part of its commitment to advancing research and promoting the sustainability of Indonesia’s palm oil industry, SIG, an accredited testing laboratory, participated in the Indonesia Palm Oil Research Week (PERISAI) 2026, organized by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta.
In addition to contributing to the country’s largest seminar on the dissemination of palm oil research and innovation, attended by approximately 1,300 participants, SIG also took part in the exhibition featuring organizations dedicated to enhancing the quality and safety of palm oil and its derivative products. PERISAI 2026 provided an important platform for SIG, an ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory accredited by the Indonesian National Accreditation Committee (KAN), to showcase its capabilities through accurate and reliable laboratory testing services.
The event also strengthened collaboration between SIG and academics, researchers, government institutions, and stakeholders across Indonesia’s palm oil industry, reinforcing the company’s position as a trusted laboratory partner committed to supporting the safety, quality, and global competitiveness of Indonesian palm oil products. In line with its focus on food safety, SIG introduced its analytical capabilities for MOSH (Mineral Oil Saturated Hydrocarbons) and MOAH (Mineral Oil Aromatic Hydrocarbons) contamination testing—two contaminants that have become significant global concerns within the palm oil industry. These testing services reflect SIG’s commitment to helping industry players produce palm oil products that comply with national and international safety and quality standards.
During the event, SIG also showcased its Genomics Laboratory, highlighting its role in supporting the agriculture and plantation sectors. The laboratory’s services are designed to advance innovation, improve productivity through the early identification of superior seed varieties, and contribute to the sustainable management of biological resources. SIG’s participation in PERISAI 2026 represents another concrete step in strengthening its contribution to research and innovation aimed at addressing the evolving challenges of Indonesia’s palm oil industry.
