Migration of Certain Elements
Certain elements consisting of antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), barium (Ba), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), selenium (Se) are found a lot in children’s toys. The migration of these elements can be harmful to a child’s health if exposed orally or ingested accidentally or deliberately. As a result, the maximum levels of migration of certain elements are regulated in national and international regulations.
