As one of the most vital organs in the human body, the eyes must be protected from irritants. Irritants can cause conjunctival redness and oedema, leading to permanent corneal and eye damage. Severe eye damage can result in blindness in humans.

To avoid this negative effect, we perform an eye irritation test. Eye irritation testing in animals is used to detect the toxic effects of substances that come into contact with the eyes. The information we had covered the possibility of damage when the eyes come into contact with substances that irritate the eyes.This test would be conducted in accordance with Indonesian regulations.

How can SIG help?

Method of Analysis
We conduct the tests in accordance with the toxicity guidelines provided by the Indonesian government, which include: 

1. BPOM Regulation (Drugs, traditional medicine, and cosmetics)
2. Toxicity guidance by Directorate of Fertilizer and Pesticides (Pesticides)
3. ISO 10993 (Medical Devices)
