        "rendered": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bogor, August 11 2026 \u2013 SIG once again welcomed a visit from the Directorate of Medical Device Surveillance, Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, as part of the Quality Assurance Development Program for medical devices circulating in Indonesia. The visit, held at SIG\u2019s facility in Bogor, was part of efforts to strengthen coordination and ensure that medical devices circulating in Indonesia meet applicable quality, safety, and performance requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the visit, the Directorate of Medical Device Surveillance, Ministry of Health, had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of SIG\u2019s laboratory capacity and capabilities as one of its partners in medical device testing. The visit also served as a platform to discuss developments in testing methods, various technical challenges, and opportunities to support evidence-based medical device surveillance with a focus on public protection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a laboratory supporting medical device testing, SIG has technical competencies, validated testing methods, and a quality management system that supports reliable testing processes for various medical device parameters, including absorbance, fluorescence, bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE), bioburden, biocompatibility, Bisphenol A (BPA), differential pressure, endotoxin, fumigant residues, microbiological cleanliness\/bioburden, and sterility. These capabilities play an important role in generating testing data that can be used to evaluate product compliance with applicable requirements, as well as support the development of recommendations and follow-up actions for surveillance activities. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The visit also strengthened synergy between the government and testing laboratories in supporting Indonesia\u2019s medical device surveillance system.
