Carrying the theme &#8220;Enhancing Cutting-Edge Bioscience Research through Advanced Scientific Infrastructure in Indonesia,&#8221; the international workshop served as a collaborative platform for academia, government, industry, and international partners to strengthen bioscience research through advanced scientific infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On this occasion, Nurul Haruningtyas, Research and Development Lab Supervisor at SIG, delivered a presentation entitled &#8220;Molecular Detection Analysis for Halal Authentication.&#8221; As a testing laboratory accredited to KAN ISO\/IEC 17025, SIG shared its expertise on the application of molecular detection technology as a scientific approach to halal authentication, ensuring products are verified with accuracy, sensitivity, and scientific reliability. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with experts from national and international institutions, including the Korea Food Industry Promotion Agency and Prof. Nancy Yuliana, a Halal Authentication expert, SIG highlighted the latest developments in halal science from multiple perspectives, ranging from strengthening the halal industry ecosystem and advancements in authentication technologies to the application of molecular analysis in supporting halal assurance systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SIG emphasized that molecular detection technology plays a strategic role in the halal authentication process, particularly in identifying the presence of non-halal components in raw materials and processed products. By utilizing accurate and validated testing methods, laboratories provide scientific evidence that supports compliance with halal regulations while enhancing consumer confidence. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SIG&#8217;s participation in the workshop reflects the company&#8217;s commitment to advancing bioscience research and halal innovation in Indonesia through the application of modern, science-based laboratory technologies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2026 NICAB Workshop featured more than 20 speakers from leading institutions across Indonesia and South Korea through 1 opening session, 3 keynote presentations, 6 scientific sessions, booth seminars, parallel seminars involving 8 companies and organizations, and a field excursion to research facilities. Topics covered included Science Techno Parks, nutritious school meal programs, metabolomics and natural products, advanced halal science and innovation, academia-industry collaboration, and ICT-based resource management.
