Bogor, June 12, 2026 – SIG welcomed an official working visit from the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Health. The visit aimed to assess the readiness and capabilities of laboratory testing for Sugar, Salt (Sodium), and Fat (Saturated Fat) in supporting the implementation of the Nutri-Level Program, as mandated by Minister of Health Decree No. HK.01.07\/MENKES\/301\/2026. <\/span>The Ministry of Health delegation included Minister of Health Mr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Ms. Rizka Andalucia, Deputy for Health Transformation Mr. Agus Tjahajana Wirakusumah, Director of Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Ms. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Director of Primary Healthcare Governance Ms. Elvieda Sariwati, Acting Head of the Center for Health Data and Information Mr. Rudy Kurniawan, and Manager on Duty Mr. Farhan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Yahya Taufik Alhabsyie, Deputy CEO of Saraswanti Group, together with Mr. J. K. Kristiyono, President Director of PT Saraswanti Indo Genetech, as well as members of SIG Laboratory\u2019s management team. <\/span>In their welcoming remarks, SIG Laboratory management expressed appreciation for the trust and attention given by the Ministry of Health toward the role of testing laboratories in supporting public health policies. The visit marked an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the government and independent laboratories in providing accurate, reliable, and accountable analytical data to support science-based policymaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

The main agenda included a laboratory tour showcasing the testing processes for nutritional parameters that form the foundation of the Nutri-Level program. The Minister of Health and his delegation received detailed explanations regarding the analytical methods utilized by SIG Laboratory to ensure accurate testing results in accordance with international standards. <\/span>During the visit, the Minister observed sugar analysis using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and titrimetric methods, sodium (salt) analysis using Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), and saturated fat analysis using Gas Chromatography\u2013Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID). These analytical techniques are widely recognized and applied in modern testing laboratories to deliver precise nutritional measurements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through this visit, the Ministry of Health gained direct insight into SIG Laboratory\u2019s facility readiness, human resource competencies, and technological capabilities in supporting the implementation of the Nutri-Level policy. The program is expected to serve as an important tool for increasing public awareness of sugar, salt, and fat content in processed foods while supporting national efforts to prevent non-communicable diseases. <\/span>Deputy CEO of Saraswanti Group, Mr. Yahya Taufik Alhabsyie, stated that SIG remains committed to supporting government programs through the provision of high-quality, reliable testing services aligned with both national and international regulatory developments.<\/span><\/p>\n
